Spending time on Lake Michigan fishing is an activity many people do. From the south to the north the shoreline of Lake Michigan has many docks and ports that fisherman can access the lake. In this video Michigan’s Video Storyteller Duane Weed captured the video on two trips with lifelong friend Mark Crawford. Our trips were from Muskegon and Grand Haven and were used in this Discover Michigan segment.
Wikipedia states, “Lake Michigan is now stocked annually with steelhead, brown trout, and coho and chinook salmon, which also have begun natural reproduction in some Lake Michigan tributaries.”
Our trip took us through the channel by the Grand Haven State Park and by the lighthouse. “The park is located in Grand Haven, Michigan on the coast of Lake Michigan on the south side of the mouth of the Grand River and harbor. In Muskegon we left Muskegon Lake which is a great place to fish as well.
Visit Grand Haven and Muskegon, take a charter fishing adventure or hook up with friends and fish Lake Michigan. Lake Michigan Fishing is fun for the whole family. Like some alone time, fish off the pier and enjoy the beauty that Michigan has to offer.
