Michigans True North Taxidermy is owned by Mike Butler from Stanwood, Michigan. True North Taxidermy is a full line taxidermy service doing mammals, birds, whitetails and exotics.
Growing up Mike was inspired by living on a farm and being in the outdoors hunting and fishing. As he grew up he began enjoying various mounts he started going to hunting shows and seeing what type of art taxidermy really is.
We learned a couple things during the interview about Mike and True North Taxidermy, one that being an engineer and a perfectionist helps Mike create his art. And two, he carries customer service to new level. He has a pick up service and helps the outdoors man by going to them and even skinning and capping the animal to get the best mount.
If you are not doing something to help the outdoors then you are helping destroy it. Giving back and paying it forward is an important part of True North Taxidermy philosophy. Through the Michigan Taxidermy Association and its Dream Makers Association offering hunting and fishing trips for challenged and terminally ill kids and also for veterans. Giving the trip and taxidermy as a small token for appreciation and gift for the cause and service to our country.
You can contact Mike at 231-250-4815 and follow True North Taxidermy on Facebook.
