Tahquamenon Falls is located in the Paradise MI area near Newberry.  The Michigan DNR describes the area as 50,000 acres stretching over 13 miles. Most of this is undeveloped woodland without roads, buildings or power lines. The centerpiece of the park, and the very reason for its existence, is the Tahquamenon River with its waterfalls.

The waterfalls encompass the Upper and the Lower falls and are a pure Michigan beauty.

Need a little adventure take the family and hike the most popular trail in Tahquamenon Falls State Park! The 5-mile River Trail parallels the Tahquamenon River between the Upper and Lower Falls, traversing through old-growth forest, giant cedars and beautiful wildflowers.  You can check out the State Park’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TQFalls.

Have gone many times to the Tahquamenon Falls Paradise MI where we stay in Newberry and use that as home base.  Spending time at the falls, traveling nearby to Oswald’s Bear Ranch which is a handful of miles from Newberry. We also head out to explore Pictured Rocks, Sault Ste. Marie and Whitefish Point to name a few fun spots for all ages.
