Binder Park Zoo is an African Adventure which is fun for the whole family. Michigan’s Video Storyteller Duane Weed captured this adventure with his daughter during their trip to Battle Creek and the Zoo. While there, Duane captured this Discover Michigan video story.
According to Duane, “My daughter has always had a fascination with animals. The trip was a great father-daughter adventure, all within the great state of Michigan. What an awesome adventure a couple hours from home!”
The Battle Creek Jaycees, Jaycees Auxiliary, and the Battle Creek Kiwanis Club originated the idea of building a children’s zoo in Battle Creek back in 1961. They started with 83 acres and it has grown now to 433 acres. You can connect with them on facebook at www.facebook.com/binderparkzoo/
